The building on the left is the village hall which, according to the b/w photograph above served as the Deutsche Feldpost and a Soldatenheim during the war.  The roofline of the village hall has changed, and the building next to the village hall is now taller.  However, the outline of the buildings on the left side of the street, the outline of the building on the right, the curve in the road, and the presence of trees in both pictures, help to locate the spot.
